I graduated from the University of Toronto’s Physiotherapy program in 2016 after completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at York University. I have a strong passion for health and fitness. I grew up participating in a variety of sports and competed at the international level in track and field and at the provincial level in gymnastics. I also have my Black Belt in Taekwondo. In addition, I assisted with research on accelerating muscle recovery in the published book, Serious Strength Training, 3rd Edition.
With my love for exercise and orthopaedics, I understand the impact injuries can have on athletes and the importance of early rehabilitation and return to sport. I enjoy working to assist clients of all ages in achieving their goals and maximizing their physical function. I have experience working with conditions such as, low back and neck pain, osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, sciatica and spinal disc injuries, muscle tears and tendonitis, ligament sprains, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, tennis and golfers elbow, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation for ligament reconstruction (ACL) and hip/knee replacements.
My perspective of physiotherapy is that it is not simply just a service provided for individuals recovering from injury/surgery, but it is also preventative in nature. Just like cars need quarterly maintenance in order to optimize their performance, so do we!
