Find out what's ACTUALLY happening with your hormones with the DUTCH TEST.

What is the DUTCH test?

It's a dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. It is a FUNCTION test i.e.it tells you how your body is functioning and metabolizing nutrients, hormones, and neurotransmitters. It tells you how much of each hormone you make, and more importantly, it tells you what your body does with these hormones.

It's

-are you making inflammatory estrogen products?

-is your liver functioning properly to detox?

-are your adrenal glands working properly?

-are you making too much or too little cortisol at the right time of day?

-are you breaking down testosterone properly (men and women BOTH have testosterone!)

-are you making enough melatonin?

-are you metabolizing your B12 and B6 properly?

-what are your levels of dopamine, serotonin, and adrenaline?

-and so much more!

Can my medical doctor run this test?

Medical doctors in Ontario do not offer and cannot do many functional tests due to the rules set out by their regulatory body.  They can test hormones in blood which is helpful but only gives minimal insight into what the total hormone production is in our bodies.

How and when do you do it?

The DUTCH kit comes with urine strips so that's how you collect and you take 4-5 sample collections in a 24 hour period.

-for menstruating women, especially if you have symptoms, we do this test 7 days after ovulation i.e. when most women have their pre-mentrual symptoms like bloating, irritability, weepiness, breast tenderness, cravings, acne etc.

-for women who do not menstruate, we use ovulation predictor kits to figure out when you ovulate and then determine when to test.

-for women who are not menstruating at all, we do this at any time.

-for those on hormones, we take you off hormones for a few days before testing.

What is the cost associated with this test?

-for females diagnosed with PCOS, endometriosis, irregular menses, heavy bleeding, premenstrual symptoms, ovulatory symptoms, and other cyclical issues,

-for perimenopausal women experiencing changes in their hormones (and lives!)

-for menopausal women to address healthy aging, decreasing future cancer risk, for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, and more

-for fertility issues (we do the DUTCH Complete + Cycle Mapping)

-for anyone who wants to know how their liver, adrenal glands, and hormones function: Do you make more of the inflammatory estrogen? Do you make the testosterone metabolite that leads to acne and hair loss? Are your sleep issues due to low melatonin, high cortisol or both?
